"Honey I Love You...feels like a Raymond Carver short story.  There's so much truth to it...The truth is found in the words...There's a simplicity to it."

Iaan Hughes, KBCS

"Fernandez' voice is central and upfront throughout Fall Apart, letting the already resonant lyrics connect even more.  And the execution is nothing short of immaculate, with a vocal performance that is as confident as it is authentic.  The result is audacious and unapologetic offering of songs...."

Elijah Dhavvan, Rain City Collective

IN THE MEDIA

Sandi Fernandez is a singer songwriter who delivers songs with captivating story telling using her powerfully memorable vocals.   Her sound blends her songwriter roots in Oklahoma's red dirt country music and the Indie-folk scene of the Pacific Northwest.  A sort of Americana storyteller blues.

Sandi grew up in a Northern Utah in a musical family and was encouraged to perform in various musical ensembles during her childhood.  Learning to sing and harmonize before grade school; she then added piano, flute, and guitar throughout her educational years.  She performed in choirs, bands, and small jazz ensembles.  And won many honors through her dedication to her classical training.

It was later in life that Sandi discovered her true calling of songwriting.  Her late start fired a drive in her to vigorously pursue her passion, which is evident in her live performances and recordings.  She is able to wrap feelings into words and then deliver them back to you with melodies that linger.

Influenced by Paul Simon, The Indigo Girls, Ani DiFranco, The Decemberists, Iron and Wine, and Brandi Carlile.  She continues to create in the true spirit and joy of storytelling with several projects in the works to watch for this year.
